These two! Stephany and Ryan were so mellow and easygoing! They wanted that to translate to their wedding and for their guests to feel relaxed and enjoy the entire night. Mission accomplished! Box Eight was the perfect place. It has a cool and industrial feel but the enclosed garden and brick walls also bring a warmth that is perfect for a wedding! Aside from the amazing dinner and then late night food truck from Heirloom LA, they had a sundae bar for dessert! Amazing. Each and every personal touch was hand crafted by the bride, she absolutely poured her heart into her wedding and it showed. So thankful for clients like these, it was such a joy to be a part of their special day!
Speechless. The couple, the venue, the vendors – it was all perfect. We looked at quite a few locations for Jana and Michaels big day, and they just could not pass up the sprawling property tucked up against the back hills of Santa Susana. The couple wanted their wedding to be a weekend celebration of love, family, friends and FUN! Mission Accomplished. How fun are those gift bags?! The bride made them herself and included things like pistachios, home made cookies and a “bloody mary in a bag”.
The venue itself is stunning, and has multiple locations for different events. Jana and Michael were able to host daily events throughout the weekend, each one at a different site, take a peek at their rehearsal dinner the night before.
Jana and Michaels wedding weekend was amazing. They wanted to host a welcome dinner that would be so different from their wedding the next day. Since their wedding was going to be soft and romantic, they wanted the rehearsal dinner to be vibrant and striking. We went with a long “floral runner” down the center of the tables accented with metal lanterns and candles for a warm glow. The rehearsal dinner is such a perfect opportunity to just relax and enjoy your closest family and friends before the big day, so something special with it. This gorgeous dinner was featured over on Grey Likes Weddings, so head over there to see even more eye candy!
Nautical, but not to nautical with pops of bright color… OK – I’m in!! Shannon and Andre are so rad. They wanted something different, maybe even a little rustic on the tables, so we created square wood chargers to pop against the white and navy linens with the bright flowers. We accented each napkin with a teal rope patterned treatment and “monkey fist” rope knots on the tables. The bridesmaids custom clutches even had a nautical feel. The whole night was fun, they made nautical awesome again.
I have known Stacy and Colton for a while. So when they got engaged, I was naturally thrilled that they came to me for their big day. They both wanted something with gray and yellow hues that were still natural and would not look out of place at The Ocean Institute. Stacy’s brother in law presided over their wedding ceremony, and absolutely nailed it! These two have such a love for fun, the outdoors and each other – I am so excited for their future.
Lauren and Nick… I dont even know where to start with these two. I love them! I can’t even put how perfect this couple is for each other into words. I actually have taken a long time to post it, because words were never enough. Not just the design, but also the couple will always be one of my favorites. Lauren and Nick wanted their wedding to have a very classic, glamourous feel. We used creams, ultra pale pinks, black and gold to create a timeless and dramatic feel for their wedding.
The Capella Chapel at The Grand del Mar is incredible! Doesn’t it look like something right out of Italy.
The couple included old family pictures of generations past and present so that guests could see the family histories as they walked into the ceremony.
The escort card table was adorned with strips of lace, loose blooms and gorgeous hand written cards.
The lounge had white leather tufted furniture (with rhinestones in the tufts!!) and mirrored coffee and side tables with soft blush floral accents. All of the accent pillows were customized with the couples monogram and motif.
JL Designs nailed the floral design. Lush ruffly blooms were in silk and lace wrapped boxes and embellished with jewel appliqués.
The bride suprised all of her guests with a dinner performance by THE JERSEY BOYS!!!!
Their cake and dessert table was filled with tons of Italian desserts and a bejeweled cake.
Even their dancefloor was personalized. Still my favorite ever!
Words don’t even to justice to the amazing team that worked together on this wedding. Unreal!! xo
Kate and Brad had a warm and intimate ceremony at a park overlooking the ocean and then hosted a reception at the grooms parents home. They were such a fun couple! Kate wanted deep purples and soft greens to reflect a breezy occasion. And hellooooo – STUNNING BRIDE.
